Downloading your documents

Where they are #

Sign in and open Your documents. Everything you have finished is on that page, grouped into From your Will and Your kits.

Each card carries a short label so you can see at a glance where it has got to:

• Locked — not unlocked yet.
• Ready to generate — unlocked, waiting for you to review and generate it.
• Ready to build — one of the kits, waiting for you to fill it in.
• Ready — finished, and downloadable.

Downloading #

On a finished document, press Download PDF. The file downloads to wherever your browser normally puts downloads.

How many times may I download? #

As many as you like. There is no limit, no counter and no allowance to use up. Once a document is generated it stays in your account, and the page tells you so: your documents are saved to your account and you can download them any time.

If a download link stops working #

Download links are made fresh each time the page loads, and an old one can go stale if you have left the page sitting open. If a download does not start, reload Your documents and press Download PDF again. That is all it takes.

We do not email your documents #

We never attach documents to an email, and we do not email download links. If you get a message from us saying something is ready, it will ask you to sign in and fetch it from your account. That is deliberate: your documents stay behind your sign-in rather than sitting in a mailbox.

Before you rely on a downloaded Will #

Under the download button there is a reminder: "This isn't legally effective until you sign it the way your province requires." See Signing and witnessing your will.

Printing #

Print your Will on plain paper. That is what the product's own instructions say, and it matters for the signing step.
