Creating your account

Quick answer
Go to the sign-in page, type your email address and press Continue. If the address is new to us, you are signed in straight away — there is no password to choose and no email to wait for. Building your will is free; you pay only when you are ready to download.

What you need

An email address. That is all. There is no password to choose, and nothing to install.

The steps

  1. Open the app and you will land on a page headed Get started.
  2. Type your address into the box labelled Email.
  3. Press Continue.

If the address is new to us, that is the whole thing. You are signed in and you can begin.

Underneath the button there is a line telling you that by continuing you agree to our Terms of Service. It links to the Terms, which are the authority on what you are agreeing to.

What happens if the address is already ours

If you have used that address here before, we send you a sign-in link instead of signing you in on the spot, and the page changes to say Check your email. That is the returning-visitor route, and it is covered in Signing in with the email link.

You cannot tell in advance which of the two you will get, and you do not need to. The same button does both.

What it costs to start

Nothing. The page says so under the heading: you build for free, and you pay only when you are ready to download your finished documents.

Using more than one device

You are signed in on the device and browser you used. To carry on somewhere else, go to the same page on that device and enter the same email address. Because we already know the address by then, you will get a sign-in link to open.

If you get stuck

Once you are in, there is a Support entry in the sidebar of your account. See How support works.

This is a DIY-assisted will kit, not a law firm, and not legal advice — see our disclaimer.
